Our story

The pharmacy at 1 Samson Boulevard is Jenny's childhood pharmacy: she used to walk there growing up in Sainte-Dorothée, and much of her family were already patients. In August 2022, Jenny and Josh became its owners with a simple idea: keep it a true neighbourhood pharmacy, where patients are known by name. We chose to stay independent while benefiting from the Uniprix network, because closeness to our patients comes first. That closeness reaches beyond the pharmacy: we support a long-term care home and a seniors' residence in Sainte-Dorothée, the neighbourhood kids' soccer team, and several cancer foundations.

Jenny Chilakos

Pharmacist-owner

A 2018 graduate of the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Jenny has been a licensed Quebec pharmacist since 2020. She grew up in Sainte-Dorothée - this was her pharmacy long before she became its owner in 2022. She has a particular interest in front-line care and supporting families, is one of the first pharmacists in Laval to offer the Emsella treatment, and strongly believes community pharmacy can do far more than dispense medication.

I grew up five minutes from here. My patients are my neighbours.

Josh Byer

Pharmacist-owner

He's passionate about continuously improving the services offered, and believes every prescription is an opportunity for a real conversation with the patient.
